Spanish Broadcasting System Names VP, GM for New York

Mason most recently was employed by Cumulus

Spanish Broadcasting System has chosen Maire Mason to serve as the new vice president and general manager of the company’s New York market, focused on ad sales and strategies. She is already based in New York and will report to COO Albert Rodriguez.

Mason previously served as vice president and general manager heading ad sales in New York for Cumulus Media. Prior to that she was director of sales and marketing for Merlin Media, and from 2009 to 2011 she served as GM of Univision Communications, as well as VP/GM of CBS Radio. In total, she has three decades of media experience.

SBS’s New York cluster consists of WSKQ(FM)/Mega 97.9 and WPAT(FM). The company owns and operates 15 other radio stations in Los Angeles, Miami, Chicago, San Francisco and Puerto Rico.
