Special Guests to Headline NATF Workshop

The National Audio Theatre Festivals will host its annual Audio Theatre Workshop from June 5-13 at Southwest Missouri State University in West Plains, Mo. Audio book narrator and Broadway actress Barbara Rosenblat will spend the week at the festival, joining the staff and participants of the ATW’s June 12 live on-air performance.
Rosenblat’s career includes many years working in England’s West End theater, BBC Radio, television and film. She has won several Audio Awards from the Audio Publisher’s Association for narration, and is among AudioFile Magazine’s Golden Voice narrators. Upon returning to the States, she began an alliance with Recorded Books after being introduced to narrating at the American Foundation for the Blind.
Voice actor Corey Burton will join Rosenblat via teleconference to deliver the festival’s keynote address. “This year’s keynote address will be somewhat different from that of past presentations,” explained George Zarr, NATF’s 2004 program chair and live performance producer. “Corey Burton, whose voice acting career spans more than 30 years…will join Barbara Rosenblat to discuss the many varied and unique characters they have created for different media outlets.”
