Taking a lesson from the old Domino’s “30 minutes or it’s free” delivery model, SPX Communication Technology has announced a new delivery model for its transmission line products, shipping within 24 hours or the freight cost is free.

Called “Quick Ship,” the offer covers every transmission line component part for lines sized from 1-5/8 to 6-1/8.

SPX Communication Technology Vice President and General Manager Roger Cote made the announcement.

“We are stocking a wide range of transmission line parts,” from elbows and flange fields to reducers and vertical spring hangers. These commonly used parts are ready to ship within 24 hours.”

If the company can’t meet that deadline, it pays the freight.

Delivering Signals to the DAB Transmitter

In early 1999, CHUM radio was granted DAB licenses for its two stations, CFUN(AM) and CHQM(FM), in Vancouver. The two signals had to be delivered from the studios in Vancouver to the CBC transmitter site on Mount Seymour in North Vancouver.
