SSI Launches Podcast Division Called iRadioNow to Distribute Talk Content

Syndicated Solutions Inc. said it will offer large-scale radio podcasting and audio downloads. The service is subscription-based and will be branded as www.iRadioNow.com.
The service will debut with certain programs from the SSI stable; the company hopes to add other syndicated and local talk content.
“SSI’s objective is to associate as many long-form talk programs as possible with the podcasting domain and position www.iRadioNow.com as the preeminent destination for consumers seeking nationally syndicated and locally produced talk radio podcasts/audio downloads,” it stated.
The company will charge consumers monthly or quarterly subscription rates. New episodes of each program available on the site are updated within three hours of their live broadcast; local commercial breaks are omitted. Subscribers can download individual audio files to a computer or portable MP3 media player and listen when it’s convenient.
The site debuts Monday.
SSI syndicates programs including “The Steve and DC Morning Show,” “Travel Today with Peter Greenberg” and “The Fresh Grocer – Tony Tantillo.”
