B & R Medientechnik, a mobile recording company based in Kürten, Germany, near Cologne, recently expanded its outside broadcasting fleet with a Solid State Logic Axiom-MT digital multitrack console.
Installed in what B&R Medientechnik dubbed its “Surround Sound Mobile,” the 48-fader, 96-channel digital console offers 96 analog mic inputs, 40 analog and 72 digital I/Os. SSL’s German distributor, Digital Audio, supplied the console.
“The installation of the MT was a dream come true,” said B&R owner Bernd Kugler. “We wanted to be the first in Germany to offer digital surround sound – both for recording and broadcast – to extend our client base.”
The OB vehicle is also outfitted Westlake and Genelec monitors, Miller & Kreisel speakers and Digidesign Pro Tools software.
