Attendees at the Celebrate Freedom Christian music concert in Dallas on Saturday will have the rare opportunity to see a piece of historical antiquity, as sponsor KLTY(FM) displays a fragment of the Dead Sea Scrolls.
The fragment, which dates to 200 BCE, is a piece of the Bible’s Book of Isaiah. According to the station, this will be the first display of a piece of the Scrolls in the United States outside a museum.
The exhibit is part of a promotion for the “Dead Sea Scrolls to the Forbidden Book” exhibit, which will arrive at the Biblical Arts Center museum in Dallas in September. The exhibit is a collection of artifacts, manuscripts and Bibles from around the globe.
KLTY is owned by Salem Communications.
