Stations Sell in Oklahoma

Two separate groups buy into the Sooner State

Oklahoma has recently seen a spurt of station sales, according to announcements crossing Radio World’s sales desk.

The southern border along the Red River is the scene of the action with sales in Altus and Ardmore.

In Altus, High Plains Radio Network expanded into Oklahoma by acquiring KEYB(FM), KJOK(FM) and KKRE(FM) from Paul and Scott Wilmes for a total of $750,000 (a mix of cash and consulting services). Bill Whitley and Bill Cate of Media Services Group were the brokers.

In the Ardmore area, SMG-Ardmore acquired LKCM Radio Group’s KVSO(AM), KKAJ(FM), KYNZ(FM) and KTRX(FM). Kalil & Co. was the broker for the deal.

In another recent transaction shepherded by Kalil & Co., American General Media has acquired KVEC(AM) in San Luis Obispo, Calif., from El Dorado Broadcasters.

If you have any station sales announcements, forward them to Radio World.
