Yahoo! Sports Radio has been making moves lately. It has to because if it doesn’t, it will be left far in the dust by its super heavyweight opponents at NBC Sports Radio, CBS Sports Radio, Fox Sports Radio and ESPN Radio.
The latest — getting “Super Agent” Leigh Steinberg to helm a show, “The Leigh Steinberg Show.” Steinberg, one of the inspirations of the movie, “Jerry Maguire,” is a legendary and pioneering sports agent. He is most well-known for his football players, with seven Hall of Famers on his client list at one time or another.
“The Leigh Steinberg Show” will air weekly on Mondays, 8–10 p.m. EST, starting Monday, August 18. He will also be a frequent network guest on other YSR shows.
Steinberg said, “Every week, we will provide unique insights into sports issues and how they impact the larger world of media, technology, role modeling and business.”
