Stern Gives Out Sirius Radios, ‘Visits’ Letterman

Howard Stern gave out “hundreds” of Sirius Satellite Radios in New York City to promote the new medium and his future show, complete with chants such as: “Down with the FCC!” which has “ruined” commercial broadcasting, according to CNN’s account.
Stern, who recently called into a radio station to spar with FCC Chairman Michael Powell over indecency, is slated to appear Thursday night (Nov. 18) on CBS’ “Late Show With David Letterman.”
CBS is billing the event as Stern’s first TV appearance since he announced plans to leave Infinity to go to satellite radio.
