Steve Harvey Is Officially a Star

He will take his place on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame

Steve Harvey will literally make his mark on Hollywood when he receives a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on May 13 at 11:30 a.m.

From stand-up comedy to TV, radio, books and the movies, Harvey has established a multifaceted entertainment and media career since his beginnings doing stand-up in the mid–1980s. His career has expanded from “It’s Showtime at the Apollo” and the Kings of Comedy tour, to become a radio host, producer, entrepreneur, author and game show host.

In September 2000, Harvey and Rushion McDonald created the nationally syndicated “Steve Harvey Morning Show,” which currently airs Monday through Friday, 6 to 10 a.m. EST with nearly 70 radio stations and approximately 6 million weekly listeners. The show has been syndicated by Premiere Networks since 2005 and is also available online.

Harvey has released two books, “Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man” and “Straight Talk, No Chaser.”

In addition, he has also starred in ABC’s “Me and The Boys,” “The Steve Harvey Show,” “Steve Harvey’s Big Time Challenge” and Centric’s “The Steve Harvey Project.” Harvey is currently hosting his third season of the syndicated game show “Family Feud,” and on September 4, 2012, he debuted his new syndicated daytime show “Steve Harvey.”

Harvey has appeared in movies, including “Love Don’t Cost a Thing, “You Got Served,” “Madea Goes to Jail,” and “Think Like A Man,” which was adapted from his first book.

Harvey and wife Marjorie lead The Steve & Marjorie Harvey Foundation, which helps young men and women through mentoring programs and other initiatives.
