Streaming Royalty Deadline Looms

Tuesday is the deadline for the U.S. Copyright Office to decide on the Copyright Arbitration Royalty Panel’s proposed rates and record-keeping requirements for streaming. Several Webcasters recently told lawmakers they will have to shut down their businesses if the proposed CARP royalty is approved as is.
