StreamTheWorld Plans iPad Radio App

Will premiere it at NAB Show

The upcoming NAB convention will be the first showing of a radio application designed with the Apple iPad tablet in mind.

Canadian-based StreamTheWorld said it will launch its native iPad app at the NAB Show in April. Vice President of Product Management & Development Jean-Philippe Gauthier made the announcement.

“In addition, all earlier iPhone and iPod Touch applications developed by StreamTheWorld, which have already been downloaded over a million times, will be available for the iPad,” stated the company, which counts CBS, AOL, Corus and Entercom among its clients.

In the announcement, Gauthier called the iPad “another smart, nimble, groundbreaking product from Apple” and said it would appeal in particular to heavy content users. He called the iPad a “dream device that has kept the radio industry in North America and Europe abuzz for months now.”
