The 2011 National College Media Convention, sponsored by College Broadcasters Inc., is scheduled for Oct. 26–30 in Orlando at the Renaissance SeaWorld hotel.
Radio, TV and high school media are all welcome.
According to a release, approximately 80 sessions, events and tours are scheduled. A hot topic to be addressed at several sessions is the recent sale of several student radio stations at colleges such as the University of San Francisco, Texas Tech University, Rice University and Johns Hopkins University with others pending or being considered.
Scheduled sessions will look at production, personnel, finance, marketing and the Internet. EAS and the FCC issues also will be explored. All types of stations are invited including traditional music, sports and public affairs/information. Also at the show will be the 10th Annual CBI Student Production Awards.
