Radio Televisyen Brunei selected a Harman Studer OnAir 2500 fixed frame console, configured with 18 faders, for its regional studio in the Tutong district.
The state broadcaster runs five radio networks from its base at Bandar Seri Begawan: National FM, Pilihan FM, Pelangi FM, Harmoni FM and Nur Islam FM. RTB previously deployed a Studer 916 for its on-air studio for 15 years, and the operators said that the brand’s sound quality, reliability and user-friendly interface influenced the decision to replace the product with another from the same brand.
According to Mahajak Trio’s Senior Manager for Sales and Project Lee Chin Kah, the station sought a reliable, flexible and cost-effective solution, which AFS Engineering Kuala Lumpur provided with complete integration, and Harman Malaysia distributor Mahajak Trio Electronic supplied the console.
Studer OnAir consoles are customizable according to workflow requirements, says the company, and the OnAir 2500 has the option to be fully integrated into a Studer “Relink” control and audio networking environment or to operate as a stand-alone console.
