Studio Center, a radio and TV commercial producer headquartered in Virginia Beach, Va., has promoted Katie Boyle to the newly created position of vice president of audio services.
Boyle has been working as a senior audio engineer at Studio Center since 2009.
She previously worked at XM Satellite Radio in Washington, as one of the first three engineers in the Performance Theatre. She collaborated with recording artists including Musiq Soulchild, Switchfoot, Rich Robinson of the Black Crowes and Lamb of God.
Boyle also served as the music director of Active Rock at XM, specializing in the metal genre, and hosted a “live” daily radio show on XM’s Liquid Metal and had a weekend show on the Boneyard.
Boyle cultivated her sound design skills at Clean Cuts Music (Washington) where she mixed television shows, documentaries and promos for HGTV, TLC, National Geographic, the Travel Channel and the Discovery Channel.
