Under new management, Studiomaster is promoting its products in the United States again.
The British console company was founded in 1976. According to a spokesperson, the company “enjoyed a great run for 20-plus years before the bottom fell out in mid 2001, due to an irreconcilable split with their long-time manufacturing partner.” The company was temporarily forced to halt business; after a reorganization in 2002, it resumed operations with limited U.K., European and Asian distribution.
Studiomaster now has arranged distribution for its rackmount and club mixers into the U.S. market via Phoenix Pro Systems Inc., which is headed by a former president of Studiomaster U.S.
