A hundred grand is nice change for a good idea.
That was the prize for a Boston-based ad agency that was competing for the first time in the Radio-Mercury Awards. MMB won the big prize with “Badonkadonk,” a spot for Subway Restaurants.
Also honored at the Radio-Mercury Awards ceremony in New York were 15 other winners. The awards are given by the Radio Creative Fund.
Other winners in various categories took home $5,000 each. A $2,500 award was presented for the best PSA via a donation to the winner’s charity of choice, to Kirshenbaum Bond + Partners for a spot for The Ad Council/Adopt US Kids.
