More than 1,000 broadcast industry players from 41 countries gathered together for the eighth ABU Digital Broadcasting Symposium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, March 6–9.
Sporting the theme “Decision time for stakeholders,” the annual event addressed issues involved with the proliferation of technologies and the consequent difficult choices firms must make moving forward. From implementation, content and creation to business planning and strategies, companies need to skillfully manage the transition so as to benefit from the latest technologies.
The four-day forum, which provides a platform for Asia-Pacific Broadcast Union members and other broadcasters to exchange ideas, network and learn about new technologies, comprised 11 conference sessions, 16 workshops and 42 booth exhibitions.
Exhibitors included Harris, WorldDMB, Rohde & Schwarz, Nautel, LS Telcom, ATDI and Stagetec.
