Suffolk County Gets Arbitron Attention

Arbitron will measure the east end of Long Island, according to one broadcaster based there.
John Maguire, president/CEO of AAA Entertainment, said the service will measure the area in the summer book. The area from Port Jefferson through Riverhead and the Hamptons will now be measured as “Hamptons-Riverhead.”
Maguire described the area as “untapped by the regional and national advertisers forced to only buy the New York City and Nassau County stations” and said he hoped other Suffolk County broadcasters would ink with Arbitron.
AAA has four stations in that area.
