Sun Sounds, In Touch Are Honored With IAAIS Awards

Sun Sounds of Arizona and In Touch Networks in New York must be doing a good job serving the visually impaired and others who can’t hold or comprehend standard printed matter — at least based on the latest list of awards from the IAAIS.

Sun Sounds of Arizona and In Touch Networks in New York must be doing a good job serving the visually impaired and others who can’t hold or comprehend standard printed matter — at least based on the latest list of awards from the IAAIS.

The International Association of Audio Information Service presented annual awards to member stations for excellence in audio programming. Sun Sounds of Arizona took home awards in the categories for entertainment, information, interview/call-in, narrative reading and news digest.

In Touch Networks also won multiple awards in the magazine, newspaper and news digest categories.

Other winners included Houston Taping for the Blind Radio and Kansas Audio-Reader Network, both with two awards; and the Radio Information Service in Pittsburgh; Audio Journal of Worcester, Mass.; and VoicePrint in Toronto.
