Jampro Antenna/RF Systems said it has shipped a high-power FM combiner to the Mass Communications Organization of Thailand to support that country's inaugural HD radio transmission.
"Recently granted a special government license to broadcast HD radio, MCOT will use Jampro's combiner to transmit HD programming to the greater Bangkok public transportation systems," the supplier stated. The combiner is designed for transmitter power levels of 35 plus kW analog; it sends out a hybrid 10 kW digital signal over the same antenna.
MCOT is headquartered in Bangkok and has 62 AM and FM stations.
