Public Radio International has appointed Swatee Surve as its new director of Business Development and Management. Surve will be responsible for the research, development, and launch of new PRI products and services. As director, Surve is also responsible for seeking out new distribution opportunities for PRI program content in new media, including the Internet, satellite, and other non-broadcast platforms.
Surve worked as a program manager in Eastman Kodak’s Imaging Research and Advanced Development division, based in Rochester, N.Y. At Eastman, she identified and developed technology-based business opportunities. From there, she went to Nike, serving as director in the Advanced Research and Development’s Explore division where she led new technology ventures.
