Susquehanna Joins Q3 Party

Susquehanna Radio reported Q3 revenues of $59.5 million, 9% higher than last year’s third quarter; operating income was up 29%.
“Improved operating income was concentrated in our Dallas, Kansas City, Houston and Atlanta markets,” the company stated. “Improved listener ratings, improving economic conditions and expense controls implemented last year contributed to improved results.”
Year-to-date, radio revenues are up 6%.
The company also has cable and Internet holdings. Overall, Susquehanna Media Co. reported $93.1 million revenues for the third quarter, a jump of 11 percent. Quarterly operating income was up 42% increase over third quarter 2001. Third quarter adjusted EBITDA was up 12%. Year-to-date, consolidated revenues are $255.4 million, up 10%.
