A new report was recently published by Prognos exploring the state of digital radio in German-speaking countries.
Specifically, it considers the interlocking problems of FM switch off dates versus DAB+ uptake.
It concluded that as regards German-speaking nations only Switzerland was consistent with its efforts, and thus had the best chance of progressing toward its 2024 deadline. In contrast, it said, Germany does not have a firm date.
