Taft Snowdon Memorial Set

Long-time FCC attorney oversaw assignment and transfer applications in the Audio Division

A memorial service will be held later this month for Taft Snowdon, the former long-time FCC attorney who died in November at age 64.

The memorial service is at 4 p.m. on Jan. 28 at St. John’s Church in Washington, D.C.

Snowdon was supervising attorney in the Audio Division of the FCC’s Media Bureau and oversaw the processing of all assignment and transfer applications in the division.

He joined the commission in 1974.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to The Grace Outreach Committee (Grace’s Table) at Grace Church, or the African Wildlife Foundation, in Snowdon’s name.

This version corrects the date of the service and the spelling of Snowdon.
