TAP Coverage Plots in Google Earth

SoftWright said users of its Terrain Analysis Package RF system design software are now able to show areas of radio coverage, as well as areas with problematic coverage, in cooperation with the Google Earth application.

SoftWright said users of its Terrain Analysis Package RF system design software are now able to show areas of radio coverage, as well as areas with problematic coverage, in cooperation with the Google Earth application.

“With TAP 6.0.2163 or later, the 3DD Module and a Maintenance Subscription date of April 30, 2007 or later, you can export predicted coverage from TAP as bitmap for use directly with Google Earth,” the company stated in its newsletter.

“When you have the desired coverage calculated in TAP and displayed in HD Mapper, click the Google Earth button to create the KML file and launch Google Earth and see your map in Google Earth.”

The new feature is provided to its customers at no additional charge, if you have the 3DDisplay module as a part of a TAP system and a current maintenance subscription.
