Tauzin to Powell: Get Ownership Done

House Commerce Committee Chairman Rep. Billy Tauzin, R-La., wants the FCC to complete its biennial review of broadcast ownership rules by spring, the timetable FCC Chairman Michael Powell has already set forth. In a letter to Powell, Tauzin praised the commission’s effort to develop a comprehensive record n the issue. If the agency cannot complete its goal by the intended deadline, Tauzin said he would “appreciate a detailed explanation of the circumstances and obstacles” involved.
