Tektronix Snags Big Navy Order

Could involve 5,000 Digital Phosphor Oscilloscopes over five years

Test gear maker Tektronix signed a big contract with the U.S. Navy to supply to supply Digital Phosphor Oscilloscopes.

It’s worth $10.75 million and the company estimates that it will be required to produce 5,000 units over five years.

The Navy’s primary equipment purchasing and inventorying agent for the Naval Supply Systems Command will use the Tektronix 100 MHz, two-channel TDS3012C oscilloscopes for its General Purpose Electronic Test Equipment program.

The company said this contract follows two similar oscilloscope programs awarded by the U.S. Navy in recent years.
