College Broadcasters Inc. is soliciting speakers for its National College Media Convention in Orlando, Fla., in October.

The convention, expecting 2,000 attendees, is aimed at college students and faculty. Many of the students are future broadcast professionals.

Interested folks in the radio, TV, Internet media business can propose sessions. An estimated 90 sessions are available.

According to CBI: “Session topics typically include a range of topics including basic and advanced skills in management, production, promotions, etc., legal issues, regulatory issues, underwriting, sports, automation, new technology, social media, recruitment of volunteers, retention of staff, networking, engineering, roundtable discussions, and a lot more.”

CBI says it would love proposals that involve panels. But all ideas are welcomed. Proposals must be submitted by June 1.
