The TH 594 water-cooled tetrode from Thales Components & Subsystems is designed for high-power digital FM applications, including in-band, on-channel (IBOC) technologies.
The TH 594 tetrode has 40 kW anode dissipation, delivering 35 kW of continuous wave (CW) power or 60 kW peak power. It incorporates pyrolytic graphite grids for mechanical stability and high-power performance, as well as a water-cooled anode (hypervapotron technology).
It is designed for use with the Thales-developed common grid cavity, which does not require adjustments to the neutralization circuit. Used with the TH 594 tetrode, this cavity is designed to enable a peak power of 60 kW with a gain of 15.5 dB.
