The iHeartRadio Music Festival Rides Again

Clear Channel also promotes high ranking of the service by About.com

Clear Channel Media and Entertainment seems to have thought its first iHeartRadio Music Festival was such a success that another one would be welcome.

Scheduled for Sept. 21–22, the performer list has yet to be announced, other than Ryan Seacrest will be involved.

And while details are as sparse as water in the Nevada desert, Clear Channel did whet appetites by reminding everyone of who was at the inaugural iHeartRadio Music Festival: Lady Gaga, Jay-Z, Coldplay, Alicia Keys, Steven Tyler, The Black Eyed Peas, Kenny Chesney, Jennifer Lopez, Usher, Sting, Carrie Underwood, Jane’s Addiction, Nicki Minaj, David Guetta, Rascal Flatts, Bruno Mars, Kelly Clarkson,Sublime with Rome and Jeff Beck.

They also reminded everyone that Clear Channel’s 850 radio stations and websites will be promoting the festival all summer long with a “Road to Vegas” theme.

In other, more concrete Clear Channel news, the company announced that the iHeartRadio iPhone/iPad app was the runaway winner in About.com’s Reader’s Choice Award for Best iPhone and iPad Radio App. The iHeartRadio app garnered 72% of the vote while runner-up Slacker had 21% and Pandora had 4%.
