The Met Taps New Host for Saturday Broadcasts

Margaret Juntwait, WNYC(AM-FM) New York Public Radio’s classical music host, is the new announcer for the Metropolitan Opera’s Saturday Afternoon Radio Broadcasts. She is the third regular announcer of the broadcast series, which launched in 1931, and is the only woman to hold the position.
Juntwait will continue her work as host of WNYC’s “Evening Music with Margaret Juntwait” on Saturday and Sunday nights and via live webstream at www.wnyc.org.
