Case was previously named as ‘Top 20 Country Programmer’

Justin Case has been hired as the Wichita Operations’ new operations manager for Journal Broadcast Group, the owner-operator of 35 radio stations and 14 television stations. He will replace Beverlee Brannigan, who was promoted to vice president of programming.

Case previously spent seven years with Cox Media Group in Birmingham, Ala., as operations manager for WZZK (FM), WBPT(FM) and WZNN(FM).

Prior to that he was program director for heritage country stations WWYZ(FM), Hartford, Conn., WUSN(FM) Chicago, WYRK(FM), Buffalo, N.Y. and WDSY(FM) Pittsburgh. He was named one of the “Top 20 Country Programmers” in 2012. He also received the CMG “Award of Excellence” in September 2011 and was cited as one of the Most Engaged Units in CMG in 2010.

“Justin brings extensive country programming talent and expertise to our cluster along with experience in a variety of other radio formats,” General Manager Eric McCart said.

The six stations serving the Wichita market owned by Journal Broadcast Group are: KFDI(FM), KFXJ(FM), KFTI(FM), KICT(FM), KYQQ(FM) and KLIO(AM).
