The Wolf Likes Wheatstone

Blackburn Radio in Ontario loads up on IP audio

London, Ont.-based Blackburn Radio tabbed Wheatstone audio-over-IP equipment for its new country station in Windsor, CJWF, The Wolf.

Working through dealer Ron Paley Broadcast, Blackburn is purchasing a 16-channel Evolution 6 console, eight-channel Evolution 6 console, four ip88a analog I/O blades, one ip88ad A/D conversion blade, Navigator software and interfacing for an OMT MediaTouch automation system.

Dan Drouillard is Blackburn director of engineering and information technology; among other selling points he noted the system’s ability to interface easily with the MediaTouch system already in use.

The 16-channel console will be for the main studio while the eight-channel desk will run a voice-tracking studio.
