The Third Coast International Audio Festival announced its fourth annual conference, Oct. 28-30 in Chicago at the Holiday Inn Chicago City Centre. It is described by organizers as a “gathering focusing on the art and craft of making stories for radio and Internet.”
Sessions topics include finding extraordinary stories in everyday life, the editor-producer relationship and spinning documentary techniques into deadline reporting.
Producers and documentary-makers Alex Kotlowitz, David Isay, Jacki Lyden and Deborah George are scheduled to speak. Events include a walk through the festival’s first audio installation and a celebration of the 2004 winners at the annual awards ceremony.
