Three Months, 71 Complaints

Three Months, 71 Complaints

Indecency complaints topped the FCC charts in the fourth quarter; loud commercials were the second-most-frequent complaint to the agency about broadcasters.
The commission received 71 indecency complaints in Q4, compared to 32 in the previous quarter.
Overall, complaints dropped 38 percent in Q4 to 9,729, which the commission says may be attributed to the mail disruption caused by the anthrax scare.
The consumer complaint figures only show inquires and complaints made to the FCC, not those made to state and local agencies and to companies.
