The National SBE show will be held in Warrendale, Pa., near Pittsburgh on October 3-4.
At the convention, three members will have their membership upgraded to Fellow – the most distinguished award from SBE a member can receive.
The recipients are: Fred Baumgartner, James Bernier Jr. and Ed Miller.
Fred Baumgartner, CPBE, is with the National Digital Television Center in Denver. He has been active in various local SBE chapters and twice served as a member of the SBE National Board of Directors and is Trustee of the Ennes Educational Foundation Trust.
James Bernier Jr., CSTE, is the director of operations and engineering for WGNT-TV in Atlanta. He chairs the SBE Electronic Communication Committee.
Ed Miller, CPBE, is the vice president of engineering for ProVideo Systems in Perrysburg, Ohio. He is the Immediate Past National President of SBE, severing for two terms from 1997 to 1999.
