Following in the footsteps of the Genie Distribution, fellow Tieline codec Merlin Plus gets the WheatNet-IP treatment.
Tieline VP Sales APAC and EMEA Charlie Gawley explained, “A number of American and European customers saw the Genie Distribution codec with WheatNet-IP and requested we design a WheatNet-capable Merlin Plus codec.”
Adding WheatNet-IP allows for the unit to be installed into a WheatNet environment and interface on the IP network with other compatible equipment and controllers.
The Merlin Plus with WheatNet-IP can handle six bidirectional mono channels. It offers uncompressed PCM audio plus Enhanced aptX, LC-AAC, HE-AAC v1 and v2, AAC-LD, AAC-ELD, Opus, MPEG II, MPEG Layer III, Tieline Music and MusicPLUS, G.722 and G.711algorithms. It also has SmartStream and SmartStream Plus IP networking surety technology.
