Tieline Publishes NPR Case Study

Discusses how network is ‘using the smartphone revolution for better-quality remotes’

An online case study details how National Public Radio is using Tieline’s Report-IT Live Enterprise Edition app for iPhones.

It was released by Darren Levy, international marketing manager for Tieline, and Charlie Mayer, director of operations for NPR News.

Mayer said that at last year’s spring NAB Show, NPR discussed with Tieline the possibility of developing a version of Tieline’s Report-IT for iPhone, which could be configured by an administrator, so that users only have to download and open the application and then tap one or two buttons to connect live, record and FTP audio.

“Tieline agreed it was a good concept and over the next few months they contacted us regularly to obtain feedback on the functionality of the Enterprise Edition and how to implement improvements to its capabilities.” NPR’s Chris Nelson and Charlie Mayer are shown.
