Tom Joyner to Receive IRTS Foundation Award

Tom Joyner has been honored by the International Radio & Television Society Foundation in recognition of his philanthropic achievements.
Joyner’s eight-year-old Tom Joyner Foundation has raised $35 million to help keep students in historically black colleges and universities; and he has registered thousands of voters. Last year, the foundation raised some $4 million to assist families and students hurt by Hurricane Katrina.
