Tower Notification Tweaked; Native Americans, Historic Preservationists Affected

The FCC said it has made improvements to the Tower Construction Notification System it introduced in February 2004.
This is a voluntary system that helps tower builders identify and communicate early in the construction process with Indian Tribes and historic preservation agencies, with an eye toward the National Historic Preservation Act.
The changes let tribes and agencies communicate more effectively, it said.
