Tower Violations Incur $13,000 Fine

The fine is against International Broadcasting Corp. for failure to paint the structure to maintain good visibility and to notify the FCC of a change in antenna structure ownership.

The FCC has fined the owner of an antenna structure in Puerto Rico $13,000.

The fine is against International Broadcasting Corp. for failure to paint the structure to maintain good visibility and to notify the FCC of a change in antenna structure ownership.

Commission agents visited the tower several times in September and October, finding the paint “extremely faced and washed away in most areas.” The company said weather had prevented it from painting and said a contractor was now prepared to paint it.

The fine was issued by the regional director of the south central region of the Enforcement Bureau.
