Trade Association Leaders Make Big Bucks

NAB leader Eddie Fritts earned $908,552 in 2000 according to the National Journal’s review of compensation packages for the leaders of Washington trade associations. The National Cable& Telecommunication Association’s Robert Sachs was paid just over one million last year, according to the publication’s study of 2000 tax forms, the latest information available. Recording Industry Association head Hillary Rosen is the highest-paid woman on the list at $918,750.
Eugene Upshaw Jr. of the National Football League Players Association topped the list for media-related association executives at $1.46 million in compensation for the year 2000.
