Traffic Directors Reminded to Tweak for Time Change

Daylight-saving time ends this Sunday at 2 a.m. The Traffic Directors Guild of America is among those reminding members to turn back clocks by one hour. It encouraged traffic directors to check with technical personnel about how the “added hour” affects automation systems.
“Some systems will automatically reset themselves, others will not,” the organization wrote. Other questions to answer: Should spots scheduled between 1 and 2 a.m. air twice? If a traffic system downloads a log into an automation system, are provisions made for the 25th hour? If a traffic system is equipped with electronic or auto log reconciliation, how does the user “reconcile” anything broadcast in that added hour without billing it twice? nfo about TDGA: www.tdga.org.
