Triad Finalizes AM Purchase

Triad Finalizes AM Purchase

Go Radio Broadcasting, a subsidiary of Triad Broadcasting Co., finalized the purchase of KBMW(AM) in Wahpeton/Breckenridge, N.D., from W-B Broadcasting for $1.2 million.
Triad said Go Radio will enter into a Joint Sales Agreement with KEGK(FM), the old KGWB(FM), in Wahpeton.
The station, licensed to Guderian Broadcasting, has completed a power upgrade from 5,000 to 50,000 watts and a frequency move from 107.1 to 106.9 MHz.
Triad now owns or sells time on 49 stations in eight U.S. markets. Its strategy is to build clusters in small and mid-sized markets.
