Tristani Hopeful About LPFM

FCC Commissioner Gloria Tristani praised the concept of creating a new class of low-power FMs. More than 1,800 non-profits have applied for licenses, she told the Alliance for Community Media. “I am hopeful that low power FM licensees will produce the kind of diverse, community-oriented programming that (Public, Educational and Governmental Access television) producers have been giving us for years.”
