Neither price nor terms were disclosed.
Simultaneous with the acquisition, Triton will merge StreamTheWorld operations with Ando Media to create The Ando Media Group. Triton says its supports 6,000 radio station affiliations with applications and content. StreamTheWorld claims to be the largest live streaming delivery provider that focuses exclusively on online broadcasters. Ando Media says it inserted more than 10 billion ad impressions in 2009.
Triton COO Mike Agovino said the deal means its streaming content delivery, audience measurement, ad insertion and real-time proof of performance will now be delivered to clients by one company.
Ando Media Group President Yves Eric Laliberte said after years of working together and tracking the evolution of the streaming business, it became clear that an integrated offering would simplify things — from the inception of the stream through the successful delivery of targeted ads — and stimulate growth.
Through its Triton Radio Networks division, Triton also owns Dial-Global
