Triton Digital, a digital media service and tools developer, launched Check In Radio, an app platform aimed at smartphones and traditional radio contests.
Check In Radio allows for smartphone users to enter station contests via their phone, i.e. “checking in,” without calling.
The free app is available for iPhone and Android platforms. The station’s back end-user platform is also available for free. Triton Digital runs the whole Check In Radio system.
President of Triton Digital Applications and Services Chris Bell said the service will make it easier for radio stations to run appointment-based contests and easier for listeners to participate. “It’s a one-click world, and this application puts that power in the listener’s hands. We expect to increase engagement by decreasing barriers to participation.”
