TruePath Mobile says it can help broadcasters turn radio stations into ringtone stores.
The company offers TruePath for Broadcasters – Radio Station Edition, which enables stations use their Web sites to preview and sell ringtones that correspond to the current music playlist.
While listeners hear a favorite tune on the radio, they can go to a Web site or use their mobile phone to order a corresponding ringtone.
This system is offered as a managed service, which means a broadcaster can connect its Web site to this technology and capability for a subscription and can avoid capital costs or development costs. Additionally, the company says the broadcaster retains control over how the software is used to enhance the station’s image, gain loyalty among listeners or generate sales revenue.
