CBS Radio has expanded its agreement with streaming service TuneIn.
TuneIn listeners will now have access to all of CBS Radio’s 80 music stations, plus some available only online. Earlier the companies agreed to have CBS make sports, talk and news stations accessible on TuneIn. They said CBS stations will continue to be available online and through mobile devices via Radio.com.
“As part of the new alliance, popular stations such as the world-famous KROQ Los Angeles, WCBS New York and Chicago’s WXRT will be available on TuneIn later today through a variety of platforms including all smartphones and tablets, connected vehicle dashboards, Internet home entertainment systems and online at www.tunein.com,” they stated.
The announcement was made by TuneIn CEO John Donham; COO of CBS Local Media Anton Guitano; and CBS Local Digital Media President Ezra Kucharz, who described CBS Radio stations as “among the leading music curators in the industry.”
